Prior to SLIT being prescribed, you will need to undergo (at your office visit) an evaluation and examiniation by a board certified allergist, allergy skin testing and if necessary, pulmonary function testing. These procedures will be submitted to your health insurance carrier for payment so please provide insurance information.

Allergy injection immunotherapy is covered by health insurance and requires scheduling and attending an average of 20 office visits per year. Each visit will require a 30 minute wait to complete the injection process. The visits and allergy injection extract often require out-of-pocket costs of co-pays, co-insurances, and deductibles.
